To make disciples among Russian-speaking people through planting churches and training local leaders.
Our Vision
We desire to see a multiplication movement of new churches being planted around the world among Russian-speaking people as a part of the fulfillment of Christ's commission in Matthew 28:18-20.
Our Values
Teams – Planting churches is best accomplished with a trained team of dedicated Christian workers that God has called to the task who serve under the guidance of a mentor-coach and leadership team.
Networks – Advancing God's kingdom is accelerated as Christians and churches work together for the common goal of making disciples for Christ.
Local Leaders – The fruit of any church plant is to see the emergence of mature, godly leaders who will shepherd and lead the church to grow and multiply.
Multiplication – Healthy churches produce healthy Christ-followers and more churches.
A Brief History
Russian Outreach Network was formed as God providentially brought together two missions over the summer of 2007. Sharing a common mission, vision and values, we want to foster more cooperative networks of churches and Christians to advance the Lord's cause in Russia and beyond.
Scott LaRue and his wife, Carmen, have been involved in Russia from September 1992 to the present. They worked with missionary teams to help plant and develop leaders in five different churches all across Russia. Since returning from full-time work in Russia in 1994, Scott and his family have worked with two new churches in the U.S. and currently serves on staff with the River Christian Church (Fort Wayne, IN).
Scott Lund and his wife, Cindy, served as a full-time missionaries from August 1992-May 2005. While in Russia, Scott and his family partnered with brotherhood missionaries to help plant and establish six churches in four cities. Scott currently serves with the Markle (IN) Church of Christ.
Both continue to make trips to Russia to provide coaching, teaching, and encouragement to church planting teams and leaders and develop new church planting projects.
