Bold for Those Untold
I am excited to have a fresh opportunity to give my full energy to expanding God's work among Russian-speaking people. We set up our home office at The River Christian Church (Fort Wayne, IN) and are focusing on casting the vision with churches, couples, families and anyone who will listen about what God has called us to do.
We are committed to being a catalyst for a multiplication movement of churches among Russian-speaking people and to focusing on planting churches, training leaders and transforming lives.
The Bible is clear - God loves all people everywhere and wants to give them an opportunity to hear about his gift of love through Jesus Christ. We do to.
We share the same conviction as the Apostle Paul,
It has always been my ambition to preach the gospel where Christ was not known, so that I would not be building on someone else’s foundation. Rather, as it is written: “Those who were not told about him will see, and those who have not heard will understand.”
(Romans 15:20-21, NIV)
For that to happen, it takes lots of us giving up and living up to what God has called us individually and as his church to do. No one else is going to take Christ to the ends of the earth. It's the mission and calling of followers of Jesus and nothing, not even a down economy, should discourage, intimidate or deter us from fulfilling it.
Is it hard? You bet. Will it cost something? For sure. Can we do it alone? Not a chance. Is it worth it? Without a doubt! Whenever lives are eternally transformed, heaven throws a party! it is worth it.
Did you know?
- Less than 1 out of 100 people in Russia are evangelical Christians. That's under 1%!
- In Moscow, there is roughly only 1 church for every 75,000 people.
- Since the turn of the millenium, the number of church-planting missionaries in Russia has dropped dramatically. For more new churches to be planted, it will take a new wave of Russian believers trained and ready to take up the challenge.
